after a bloody hot day here in singapore, a heavy thunderstorm arrived just now to cool the east cost down at least a bit…. all images handheld with Fuji X-E1 and 18mm all the way closed to F/16, resulting in exposures of a few seconds. good night…

started packing again (actually haven’t really unpacked…), early morning flight to hong kong… back in singapore on the 22nd. and yes, shooting another recently opened marriott hotel in the new territories. below a more experimental shot of a moving tram & camera, taken a couple of years ago.

some first random impressions from my recent assignment in phuket, thailand… (just small thumbnails for now…) took almost a full day reducing nearly a 1000 images to less than 250 for clients final selection! overall a very challenging assignment, combining below average weather with high & humid temperatures, and mostly grey skies, unusual high occupancy, pretty much always the wrong sun at the wrong time… have i mentioned the tides?
wet and wild
packing my gear now and off to the next assignment assignment in thailand in a few hours…. just a few quick images from last weekend:
was getting prepared for my son’s friends 10th birthday party. theme: wet & wild involving lots of water guns…. guess i could never be a war journalist! while my Fiji XE-1 was all taped with zip locks didn’t get many nice shots ou of it:

Cinema 3rd Floor
just renamed my collection of china images for my new website to ‘fine china’… and this shot of an old cinema on a gloomy day in guangzhou will be part of it:
HyperJuice 2
new tool for my digital workflow while on the road: HyperJuice 2 was testing it with J’s unit on our last assignment in shanghai: 8-10 hours working with a fully charged MacBook Air was no issue..! will be handy on my resort shoot in thailand next week… (purchased from memory world at funan for about SGD 350.00)
